MEETING INFORMATION


CSPP Specific Events

During the meeting, several events will be organized by or with the participation of the CSPP.

NEW! - CSPP Mixer, August 1, 7 p.m.
Directly following the CSPP Gold Medal Address (see below), CSPP members are invited to join the CSPP Mixer held at Les 3 Brasseurs, 105 Rue St-Paul Est, 10 minutes walking distance from the Palais des Congrès. The mixer starts at 7 p.m., and happens on the upper floor of the restaurant (staircase is behind the bar). Drinks and food are available for purchase (the restaurant's specialty is "Flammekueche", an Alsatian pizza).

CSPP members are invited to pick up a voucher for one free drink from the CSPP booth in the Exhibit Hall located at the Palais des Congrès (Please note the opening times of the Exhibits in the program).

Major Symposium III: CSPP President's Symposium

Major Symposium V: ASPB-CSPP Joint Symposium
This year the topic will be "Pollen Biology". Organizers: Alice Cheung, University of Massachusetts, Anja Geitmann, University of Montreal, Heven Sze, University Of Maryland

Lab Leadership Workshop - CANCELLED
In a joint effort, the ASPB and CSPP will organize a workshop on lab leadership during the days preceding the annual meeting. Topics covered during the workshop include presentations by US and Canadian funding agencies. This workshop is particularly relevant for postdoctoral fellows and beginning faculty. Please find more information on the ASPB web site.

CSPP Booth
The CSPP will have a booth in the exhibition hall. Among others, this booth will comprise a "Hookey Desk" where you will find information about local eats, walks and our students' picks for Montreal night life.
