Scientific Program
The scientific program is planned by the ASPB program committee in collaboration with the CSPP local organizing committee and the CSPP President.
Major Symposia
The meeting will be structured around 6 Major Symposia.
Two of these symposia are organized by or in collaboration with the CSPP:
Symposium III: CSPP President's Symposium
Topic: "Signals and Plant Development". Organizer: Carl Douglas, University of British Columbia
Symposium V: ASPB-CSPP Joint Symposium
Topic: "Pollen Biology". Organizers: Alice Cheung, University of Massachusetts, Anja Geitmann, University of Montreal,
Heven Sze, University of Maryland
Mini-Symposia
In addition to the Major Symposia, numerous Mini-Symposia will be organized in parallel sessions. These symposia will
be based on proposals by the membership and on submitted abstracts. Suggestions for Mini-Symposium topics can be sent
to anja.geitmann@umontreal.ca by February 28th 2010. Please follow the instructions and make
sure to submit your abstract(s) by March 12th 2010 on the ASPB web meeting website
Poster Sessions
Posters will be displayed in the exhibition hall during the entire meeting. Please refer to the ASPB web site
for technical details.
Workshops
ASPB meetings traditionally host numerous work shops. Topics range from education to leadership and grantsmanship. Please see the
ASPB web site for a detailed listing.
