Many of the membership, especially the newer ones, may not be aware that the
Society has an archives which attempts to keep an historical record of the
activities of the Society. The founder of the archives was the late Dr. Don
Mortimer who arranged to have the ever-increasing number of file boxes stored
with the archives of the NRCC, currently at 100 Sussex Drive in Ottawa.
The current CSPP archivist, Connie Nozzolillo, is engaged in slowly integrating
the records of events since 1990 into the archives. This activity is not made
easier by the modern tendency to use e-mail and web-sites in place of printed
material, especially given the short lifetime of electronic means of storage!
The Society is now more than 50 years old, and an excellent summaries of the
first 25 years of the Society (by Paul Gorham and Tony Bidwell) and the second 25
years (by Connie Nozzolillo) are available on the website.
