Eastern RegionDear CSPP members, CSPP Eastern Regional meetings are traditionally held each year in early December. This year, the Eastern Regional meeting will be combined with the Plant Development Workshop and will be hosted at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo. In the past, CSPP conferences held in Waterloo have been well-attended due to its central location. Wilfrid Laurier University has hosted successful meetings in its comfortable and convenient facilities, has always taken tremendous care of conference participants, and provided excellent food. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of the Department of Biology at Wilfrid Laurier University. CSPP Eastern Regional members can anticipate an exceptional meeting featuring high-quality science. Please, mark your calendars for the 2012 Eastern Regional Meeting to be held in early December 2012 at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo. The exact dates will be announced in due course. We encourage talks and posters from all areas of plant biology and of interest to CSPP members. As usual, we especially encourage students and post-doctoral fellows to contribute their presentations and remind them that CSPP offers the George H. Duff Student & Post-Doc Travel Bursary to help with the cost of conference attendance. As 2012 just started, I wish you all a happy and productive year and I am looking forward hearing about
