As the fall of 2009 rolls in, it's time to start thinking, once again, about your plans to
attend the CSPP Eastern Regional meeting. Last year the combined meeting with the Plant
Development Workshop, hosted at The University of Toronto And the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM),
was a big success both in terms of the large attendance and the quality of science. We have
equally strong expectations as the meeting shifts to the University of Guelph in 2009.
So, mark your calendars for the 2009 Eastern Regional Meeting:
Place: University of Guelph
Dates: December 4/5.
Bullring mixer - Friday, Dec. 4.
Rozanski Hall - Saturday, Dec. 5
Not convinced yet? Let me draw to your attention that the University of Guelph has one of the largest
numbers of plant scientists in Canada, and the venue is very accessible with free parking and inexpensive
accommodations.
Traditionally, the regional meetings of the CSPP membership are student oriented and we hope that many
graduate students will have the opportunity to attend.
We hope to see you in Guelph in December!
In the meantime, I wish you a productive fall and winter season.
