Graduate student positions
Applications are invited for a graduate student position as the M.Sc. or
Ph.D. levels in the department of biology at Western University, London,
Ontario. Research will involve investigating the functional genomics of
seed secondary metabolism of Camelina sativa.
Western University, 05/12/2012
M.Sc. - Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Position - Genetic transformation systems for industrial crop species
The research is part of a larger initiative for deploying
the cell penetrating peptide transformation system to multiple crop species.
The successful candidate requires experience in plant cell culture techniques, with experience
in microspore culture of crucifer species particularly beneficial.
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, 04/19/2012
Postdoctoral Position - DNA Recombination and Repair in Arabidopsis
DNA recombination and repair will be studied in plants using Arabidopsis as a model
system. The research will contribute to ongoing investigations on mechanisms regulating
homologous recombination frequency, particularly during meiosis, with the goal of developing
systems to enable directed alteration of recombination frequency in crop species.
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, 04/18/2012

Associate or Senior Research Technician in Environmental Horticulture to work in an industry driven
research environment.
Vineland, Ontario 04/16/2012
Research Associate positions in poplar population genomics and in ecophysiology and adaptive trait phenotyping
A large-scale collaborative poplar genomics project funded by Genome Canada is seeking
applicants for two research associate positions. Successful candidates will join an
experienced team investigating the genomic basis of phenotypic variation in the tree
genus Populus, with particular reference to cellulosic biofuel traits.
