Western Regional Meeting
This year's CSPP Western Regional Meeting (WRM) will be hosted by the University of Victoria's
Centre for Forest Biology in Victoria, British Columbia. It is being organized jointly with the
UVic Forest Biology Symposium, and we have chosen Forests, Genetic Diversity, and Climate Change
as a theme for the invited speakers. However we will have plenty of time for presentations from
other areas of interest to CSPP members and encourage abstracts from all plant- and forestry-related
fields. This year's meeting will also host the first BC Essential Oils Workshop, which will focus
on commercially important essential oil producing plants, such as lavender [See
www.bclavendernet.ca for details].The WRM regional meeting is an excellent venue for graduate students and PDFs to give
presentations.
The meeting will be held on the University of Victoria Campus, and a block of residence rooms has been
reserved for the meeting. The sessions will be held all day Monday May 10th (David Strong Building, Rm. 116),
followed by a social on campus at the University Club.
